We are a traditional country pub situated in the village of Pontneddfechan (Pontneathvaughan in English), right at the foot of the waterfall trail. 

​

The Angel is all about good beer, hearty food and a relaxed welcome, whether you are calling in after a walk, meeting friends or planning a family get‑together.  Being at the heart of the community, we keep that spirit going with a simple aim, serve well-kept beer, cook straightforward pub favourites and make everyone feel at home. We are proud to be an independent, local team.

The Angel Inn is steeped in history and is littered throughout with oddities and delights - something new will be seen with every visit!

• An events calendar full of community focused events ranging from weekly quiz nights to craft workshops and murder mystery dinners

Walkers drop in after exploring the waterfalls. Locals come for a catch‑up.  Diners visit us for a decent homecooked pub meal.  Visitors use us as a base to enjoy the countryside, then return for a pint and a plate of something comforting. We keep things straightforward so you can relax.

Buffets are also available for parties of over 20 people and parties of up to 60 can be catered for

We have our car park which is for customers of The Angel only and is covered by ANPR cameras so please make sure you enter your car details when you place your order - A purchase is essential to use the car park.
